Most gun mods on Bedrock completely ruin the vibe of the game. They usually port in hyper-detailed, high-poly 3D models with ultra-realistic tactical animations that look utterly ridiculous sitting next to a blocky square cow. Aplok Guns completely fixes that immersion problem by keeping the models, icons, and textures strictly vanilla-styled. It looks and feels like content Mojang could have designed themselves, blending seamlessly into a regular survival world while adding surprisingly deep tactical combat.

Instead of treating weapons like basic reskinned bows, this pack introduces proper firearm mechanics. Every single gun tracks its own ammunition count rather than relying on standard tool durability. You get dedicated animations and handling depending on the weapon class—whether you are working with full-auto rifles, semi-auto pistols, burst-fire guns, or shotguns that require manual pump-action and round-by-round shell reloading. The audio feedback is top-tier, featuring satisfying muzzle flashes, distinct suppressed sounds when you run a silencer, and even custom reverb when firing indoors versus out in the open.



Beyond the firearms, the add-on builds out an entire tactical ecosystem. You can modify guns with modular attachments, craft specialized ammo, and construct dedicated workbenches for assembling parts. For defense, it gives you functional gear like night vision goggles (NVG), gas masks, and ballistic vests, alongside buildable fortifications like sandbags, barbed wire, anti-tank hedgehogs, and live landmines. If you want to tweak weapon damage or behaviors, it even includes an in-game settings menu accessible via the /ag:settings command.

Because this add-on heavily relies on custom scripting, custom blocks, and completely overhauled combat mechanics, Xbox Live achievements are permanently locked the second you activate it. Setting it up requires a bit of attention before jumping into the world. It comes as a standard .mcaddon file that imports both the behavior and resource packs, but you must head into your world settings and enable the required Experimental Gameplay toggles—specifically Beta APIs and custom components. If you skip those switches, the custom workbenches won't function, and the bullet counters will fail to track your magazines.

From a performance standpoint, Aplok Guns is miles ahead of other military add-ons. By deliberately avoiding bloated, high-polygon meshes and chaotic unoptimized particle effects, the memory footprint stays surprisingly small. The scripts handling the bullet calculations and reload timers are tightly optimized, meaning you can get into chaotic firefights on a budget smartphone or a base-model console without your framerate dropping into the single digits. It is easily one of the most cohesive, gameplay-friendly combat expansions available for Bedrock.
