Egg Blocks Mod is for anyone who’s ever copied a Java redstone tutorial, nailed every step, and then watched Bedrock pistons ruin the whole vibe. On Java, a quick redstone pulse can make a sticky piston push a block forward without snapping it back. On Bedrock, sticky pistons always try to pull the block back, which messes with a ton of classic machine designs. This mod’s whole purpose is to give you a block that emulates that Java behavior so those builds stop feeling impossible.
The core idea is simple: Egg Block and Century Egg Block act “semi-sticky” with pistons. They’re sticky when they get pushed or pulled by a piston, but they don’t stick to each other, which is a huge deal for movement builds. That one detail opens up clean, controlled motion where you’re not accidentally dragging the whole contraption like a tangled backpack. If you’re into flying machines, this is where it starts getting fun, because the mod specifically makes machines like a super simple bi-directional flying machine a realistic thing to build in Minecraft Bedrock without turning it into a giant workaround project.
You also get three new blocks. Egg Block is crafted from 9 eggs, so it’s easy to understand and it pushes you toward doing a little farming if you want a bunch of them. Century Egg Block is basically an alternative version, and the Preserver is how you convert: leave an Egg Block inside a Preserver and, eventually, it becomes a Century Egg Block. No fake “magic,” just a chill progression that fits the theme and gives you a reason to set up a small processing corner near your redstone lab.
One thing you’ll feel immediately is the cooldown system. Every block in the mod, including the Preserver, gets a 3-tick cooldown after being pushed. While that’s active, the block is immoveable and can’t be pushed or pulled. In practice, that means your machines need clean timing. If you spam pulses too fast, you’ll jam your own build and wonder why it’s “randomly” stalling. The easy life hack is to slow your clock down a bit while testing and only speed it up once you see the movement is consistent. Egg Blocks Mod shines when you treat it like precision redstone instead of button-mashing power into it.
