Dragon Mounts Mod / Addon

Mods / Addons / Mods 1.26 / Mods 1.21

Dragon Mounts Mod is basically for that exact moment after you beat the Ender Dragon and you’re standing there like, “Cool… now what?” Normally the Dragon Egg just sits on a shelf forever, but here it’s your starting point for getting a whole new pet-style adventure going. The addon adds eight different dragons you can hatch, grow, tame, and eventually ride, so your “post-End” world actually gets a new goal instead of feeling like the credits were the end of the fun.

To get rolling, you need a Dragon Egg, and the mod keeps that tied to the Ender Dragon fight—so it feels earned. Once you’ve got the egg, pick a spot you’re happy with, place the egg block, and right click it to begin hatching. It takes a while, so it’s the kind of thing you start, then go do your usual survival chores while you wait. When the dragon is grown up, you tame it with any meat, and after that it’ll follow you around and protect you like other pets, which is awesome for long travel days where you don’t want to feel alone out there.

You can also interact with your tamed dragon to tell it to lay down or stand up, which is super handy when you’re working around your base and don’t want it getting in your way. Riding is simple too: use a saddle on the tamed dragon, then interact with it while you’re not holding an action item. Once you’re on, you control it with the arrow keys, so it feels straightforward and familiar.

Keeping your dragon healthy matters, especially if it’s taking hits while protecting you. You can heal injured dragons by feeding raw fish, raw chicken, raw beef, or raw porkchop for four hearts, or rotten flesh for two hearts. Real talk: carry the “good” food when you’re heading into danger, and keep rotten flesh as the cheap backup you’d normally ignore. One more thing you have to respect: the disclaimer says you should play the Dragon Mounts add-ons by themselves, not together, so don’t stack them and then blame the world when things get weird. Dragon Mounts Mod gives Minecraft Bedrock a solid reason to care about the Dragon Egg again, and it’s way more fun when you treat your dragon like a teammate, not just a flex item.
