The Reeker (Experiment) Mod / Addon

Mods / Addons / Mods 1.21

The Reeker (Experiment) Mod drops one unnerving entity into your worlds and lets it quietly take over your forest routes. On paper it’s “curious” and almost neutral, but once it’s active you stop treating woods and jungles as safe travel corridors. The Reeker can swim, can break blocks, and currently hits extremely hard—its damage is comparable to the Howler from the same project and is still being tuned—so when it finally commits to a chase, you feel it. Because its spawnrate is tied to levels and it’s flagged as a progressive entity, the creature becomes more of a presence the longer you stick with a world, turning late-game exploration into something you have to actually plan for.

Every new player receives a settings book, but only the world owner or players tagged as “op” can touch the configuration, which keeps random friends from casually turning your horror off mid-session. The recommended way to run it is on default or Hard difficulty so the Reeker can really lean into its survival role, forcing you to respect forests again instead of sprinting through them on autopilot. The addon doesn’t require experimental toggles, so you can drop it straight into a regular Bedrock survival file. Put on a headset, listen for the audio cues, and remember: this thing can go through water and blocks, so “just pillar up” won’t always save you.

Installation Mod:
- Download the .mcaddon / .mcpack;
- Open the file to import into the game;
- In World Settings → Resource Packs and Behavior Packs, enable it (turn on Experiments if needed);
- Have fun!
