Fireflies Mod / Addon

Mods / Addons / Mods 1.21

Fireflies Mod is the kind of addon you install when you want your world to feel prettier, not harder. Night in Minecraft Bedrock is usually all danger-brain: you’re thinking about mobs, lighting, and getting home. This mod flips the mood around water by adding fireflies that spawn at night over any water source like rivers or oceans. It turns those quiet shoreline moments into something you actually want to hang around for, instead of sprinting past on your way back to safety.

In real gameplay, the best part is how natural it feels. You’re building a dock, fishing, crossing a river, or just walking along the coast and suddenly there’s movement in the air that makes the night feel alive. It’s a small change, but it adds that “I’m actually in a world” vibe, especially if you like making scenic bases. A river house, a beach camp, or a little bridge build instantly looks better when the area has subtle night ambience instead of total darkness.

The behavior is clean and predictable too: fireflies spawn at night and despawn during the day. That means they don’t clutter your world permanently, and they keep their charm because they’re a nighttime-only thing. Practical tip: if you want the nicest effect, build near water on purpose. A base tucked along a river bend or facing the ocean will naturally get the most firefly activity, and it makes simple builds feel way more atmospheric without you needing to add a bunch of extra decorations.

Fireflies Mod is basically a chill “not everything at night has to be dangerous” addon for Minecraft Bedrock—perfect for builders, explorers who like quiet moments, and anyone who wants their rivers and oceans to look magical after sunset.
