Better Structure Loot Mod / Addon

Mods / Addons / Mods 1.21

Better Structure Loot Mod is made for that exact moment every survival player knows: you finally find a structure, crack open the chest, and it’s basically two string and some wheat like the game is trolling you. This addon tries to fix that without turning exploration into an instant endgame speedrun. The goal is balance—loot that feels rewarding, but not so overpowered that every structure becomes a free gear skip.

The way it does that is pretty straightforward. Most structure loot tables get a bunch of new items added, and the mod specifically says it doesn’t remove anything that already exists in vanilla loot tables. So you’re not losing the “classic” pulls—you’re just getting more variety and fewer dead chests. In general, structure chests end up containing about double the amount of items, which alone makes runs feel better because you’re not traveling across the map for one sad stack of seeds.

On top of quantity, the mod tweaks the odds. It doubles the chance for rarer items to show up compared to less rare items, with examples like diamonds, enchanted books and tools, armor trims, and nautilus armor. It also adds newer items and materials into the mix, so your loot feels more up-to-date instead of stuck in an older meta. And it lowers the chance for “worse” items like rotten flesh or wheat seeds, which is honestly the biggest quality-of-life win—those items aren’t useless, but they’re not what you want to see when you’re risking a trap or clearing a structure.

What I like about the vibe here is that it still respects exploration. You’ll feel more rewarded for checking structures, but you’re still playing survival, not opening a loot box that instantly hands you maxed gear. The mod is also achievement friendly and doesn’t require experimental toggles, which makes it easy to drop into a normal Minecraft Bedrock world without flipping a bunch of settings or worrying you broke progression.

If you’re using Better Structure Loot Mod, a practical way to keep your world feeling “earned” is to treat structures like your main progression path. Instead of sitting in one cave for hours, go roam—hit different structures, take what you get, and let the better loot odds guide your builds and upgrades naturally. Better Structure Loot Mod is basically the “exploration should feel worth it” fix for Minecraft Bedrock, without deleting the vanilla loot identity.
