Beyond's Java PvP Mod / Addon

Mods / Addons / Mods 1.21

Beyond's Java PvP Mod is basically for Bedrock players who want fights to feel less like button-mashing and more like timing and spacing. It introduces the Java weapon attack speed system, meaning each weapon has its own attack speed and you have to wait after each swing until your weapon is ready again. If you keep spamming, you won’t deal full damage. That one change alone shifts PvP and survival combat into a totally different rhythm, because you start caring about when you swing, not just how fast you click.

The mod also adds the Java-style weapon rest animation so you can actually see the cooldown state after you swing, the way it’s shown in Minecraft Java. That’s huge for learning the timing, because you’re not guessing—you’re reading your weapon state and choosing when to commit to the next hit. In real fights, this makes movement, strafing, and baiting swings matter more, since a missed hit can mean you’re stuck waiting while the other player repositions.

Enchantment behavior is included too. The mod says each weapon works with its enchantments, specifically listing Sharpness, Bane of Arthropods, and Smite. That’s important because it keeps your gear progression meaningful; you’re not switching to a timing-based system and losing the classic “build your weapon” part of survival or SMP play. It also includes effect detection so Strength and Weakness change item damage the same way they do in Minecraft Java, which helps keep combat consistent with the system it’s copying.

The effect and combat behavior applies to a specific weapon list: Netherite, Diamond, Iron, Copper, Gold, Stone, and Wooden swords; the same material list for axes; plus the Mace and Trident. Practical tip: with Beyond's Java PvP Mod, stop swinging first and start swinging smarter—hit, reset your spacing during cooldown, then hit again when you’re ready. In multiplayer, it rewards players who stay calm and control distance, and in survival it makes even basic mob fights feel more skill-based instead of pure spam.
