Magnet Tool - "Smart Item Attraction System" Mod is a straight-up quality-of-life add-on built around one thing: you shouldn’t have to jog back and forth over a pile of drops like you’re vacuuming the floor. It gives you a Magnet item that attracts nearby dropped items within a configurable radius, and it can also pull XP orbs if you enable that option. The Magnet works either in your hand or in your offhand, so it fits into normal survival without you constantly swapping tools.
What keeps it from being totally busted is the heat system. The mod uses durability as “heat,” so the longer the Magnet stays active, the more it heats up. If it overheats, it locks and you’re forced into a cooldown before it can run again, which means you can’t just leave it ripping forever while you stand still. Upgrades can push longer usage time, faster pull speed, and quicker cooldown recovery, so you gradually tune it to your playstyle instead of getting everything for free on day one.
Upgrading happens through the Magnet Workshop UI. You sneak and use the Magnet to open the menu, then spend XP levels to upgrade it. Those upgrades are saved per player and persist across sessions, so your Magnet stays “yours” even after you log off and come back. The upgrade set includes range boosts, speed boosts, cooling improvements, an XP Siphon that pulls experience orbs automatically, and Auto Loot that sends items straight into your inventory. On top of that, the Magnet updates its lore in real time, showing stuff like whether it’s active, how long until cooldown ends, remaining usage time, your current range and speed level, and which abilities are enabled.
In actual Minecraft Bedrock gameplay, Magnet Tool - "Smart Item Attraction System" Mod shines when you’re strip mining, clearing messy caves, running mob farms, or doing big builds where blocks are constantly popping off. The best tip is to pay attention to heat so you don’t get caught at the worst moment with a locked Magnet and a floor full of loot. If you’re trying to keep your hotbar clean, equipping it to the offhand is the move: right click to put it there when your offhand is empty, and you can keep swinging your tool while the Magnet handles pickup in the background. It’s also designed to be server-friendly with optimized entity scanning, and it avoids chunk edits or block replacements, so it’s meant to sit comfortably in long-term survival worlds and SMP/Realm setups without turning everything into lag city.
