Cloud Vein Ore (API) Mod is all about speeding up ore runs without turning every tool into a magic drill. The addon straight-up limits what you can use for vein ore mining, so you can’t just grab any random pickaxe and expect it to work. The usable pickaxes listed are: Iron pickaxe, Gold pickaxe, Diamond pickaxe, Netherite pickaxe, Copper pickaxe. That restriction actually makes it feel more “earned” in survival, because you still have to reach the point where you’ve got one of those picks ready before you start shredding veins.

The way it works is simple and super satisfying in caves. When you mine one ore, nearby ores will also break. So instead of doing that annoying routine where you chip out every single block in a vein one by one, you hit the ore and watch the rest of the nearby ore pop too. In Minecraft Bedrock, this is huge for the moments where you find a vein tucked behind gravel, half-hidden in a wall, or scattered across a cave corner. You don’t have to “dig the whole cave apart” just to make sure you didn’t miss one block.

In survival gameplay, Cloud Vein Ore (API) Mod shines most during long mining sessions when you’re trying to gear up or stockpile resources for a build. It turns ore hunting into quicker bursts of progress: spot ore, mine it, keep moving. That also makes caves feel less like slow chores and more like fast route planning—clear a section, grab the ore, and dip before mobs start stacking up behind you.

Practical tip: since only certain pickaxes work, keep one of the supported pickaxes as your “ore run” tool and don’t swap it out mid-trip. If you’re strip mining or caving and you keep changing tools for blocks vs ore, it’s easy to forget what’s in your hand and wonder why the vein effect didn’t trigger. Also, when you’re mining near lava pockets or risky drops, take a half-second to look around before you hit the ore—because breaking multiple nearby ores at once can open up space fast, and you don’t want to surprise yourself with a sudden hole or a new angle for mobs to rush in.
