Heart Thief: Lifesteal SMP System Mod is built around the Lifesteal SMP ruleset that’s been blowing up lately: kill a player and you steal a heart, die and you lose a heart. The RR Heart Thief Addon brings that whole system to Minecraft Bedrock as a fully scripted setup that works “out of the box” using vanilla items, so you’re not juggling complicated texture pack requirements just to get the core mechanic working. The mod’s main thing is that it modifies your health attributes dynamically, so hearts actually become the currency of survival instead of just a background stat.
The PvP loop is simple but scary. If you kill another player, you permanently gain 1 heart and they permanently lose 1 heart. That makes every fight matter, because it’s not just about dropping someone’s gear—your health pool grows while theirs shrinks. The risk isn’t only PvP either: if you die to environment damage like lava or creepers, you still lose a heart. So even basic survival stuff like running through caves or building near cliffs suddenly has stakes, because one dumb mistake can literally weaken you long-term.
Elimination is handled with a hard punishment: hit 0 hearts and you enter “Spectator Mode.” In that state you become blind and weak, and you can’t mine or fight until someone revives you. That’s perfect for SMP drama because it stops players from instantly bouncing back, but it also keeps the world social—your survival can depend on alliances, deals, and someone choosing to bring you back instead of leaving you stuck.
The Heart Bank System is the smartest part because it gives players a way to play safer and plan ahead. You can withdraw a heart by holding a gold ingot and crouching (sneaking), which takes 1 heart from your body and gives you a nether star you can store in a chest. Later, you can deposit a heart by holding a nether star and crouching to consume it and gain 1 heart back. In real gameplay, that means you can bank hearts before risky fights or dangerous trips so you’re not walking around with your entire “life savings” exposed on your health bar. It also enables trading and diplomacy, because hearts become physical items that can be stored, stolen from chests, or exchanged in deals.
Checking your info is also clean. To see your PvP stats or current heart count, you hold a book and crouch to open the Stats Panel. That’s quick enough that players will actually use it mid-session instead of forgetting it exists.
There’s also a Pro unlock path tied to an Admin authentication flow. By default, the heart limit is 20, and to increase it to 40 and unlock the “Revive Teammate” feature, an admin needs to open the Admin Panel by holding a name tag, crouching, and using the item, then entering a license key to unlock Pro Mode. So for servers, you can start with the standard cap and later expand the ceiling and add revival tools once the SMP meta settles in and people want longer-term progression. Heart Thief: Lifesteal SMP System Mod is basically a full Bedrock lifesteal ruleset with real consequences, a bank system for smart players, and simple vanilla-item controls that make it easy to run on an SMP without extra fuss.
