Java Combat: Sweeping Edge & Blood Effects Mod / Addon

Mods 1.26 / Mods 1.21

Java Combat: Sweeping Edge & Blood Effects Mod is for Bedrock players who hate how combat can feel like pure spam tapping with no real “weight.” This addon’s whole goal is to make sword fights feel closer to Java Edition by actually changing how weapons work, not just repainting textures. It uses Script API, so you’re getting mechanics that affect what happens in combat instead of a cosmetic trick.

The main gameplay change is the Sweeping Edge attack. When you use a sword, you see the white sweeping trail, and your hit becomes area damage instead of only tagging one mob at a time. So if you swing at a zombie and there’s a skeleton standing right next to it, the skeleton will also take damage and get knocked back. That makes crowded fights feel way less annoying, because you’re not stuck doing “one target, one target, one target” while everything piles onto you. It’s especially useful for XP farms or any situation where mobs stack up and you just want to clear the mess quickly.

The second feature is realistic blood particles. Every time you hit a mob, you get red blood particles as feedback, and critical hits (jump hits) spawn even more. That sounds small, but in actual Minecraft Bedrock play it makes combat feel way more satisfying because you instantly see impact, especially in fast PvE moments where you’re clearing groups. It also adds intensity to PvP because every hit feels more obvious and dramatic, which can make fights feel more “real” even if you’re still using the same basic gear.

Practical tip: with sweep attacks doing AOE damage and knockback, positioning matters more. Try to fight mobs clustered in front of you so each swing pays off, and be careful around pets, villagers, or anything you don’t want getting caught near your target, since the whole point is that nearby entities can also take damage. Java Combat: Sweeping Edge & Blood Effects Mod is best if you want sword combat to feel heavier, cleaner against hordes, and visually punchier without changing the rest of your survival routine.
