Mail Delivery Mod / Addon

Mods 1.26 / Mods 1.21

Mail Delivery Addon turns the whole “drop it in a chest and hope they’re online” problem into an actual mail system you can build into your world. Players can send items, packages, and handwritten letters to each other using physical mailboxes, deposit boxes, and package boxes that you craft and place in the world. The big convenience feature is offline delivery: if the recipient isn’t online, the mail queues up and gets delivered automatically when they log back in, and they get a chat notification letting them know something is waiting. That’s perfect for servers or realms where people play at different times but still want to share supplies, trade, or leave messages.

Mail Delivery Addon also makes the mail feel visible and “in-world,” not just a menu. Mailboxes come in post-mounted and wall-mounted variants, support all 16 dye colors, and include a flag system that raises when outgoing mail is queued and drops once it’s been picked up. That flag is a small detail, but it’s huge for gameplay flow because you can glance at a mailbox and instantly know if something is pending. Ownership is tied to the player who places the mailbox, and only the owner and server admins can open it, which keeps mail private and stops random players from snooping through deliveries.

The letter system in Mail Delivery Addon is deeper than just “send a note.” Letters support custom text, relative timestamps like “sent 2d 4h ago,” and reply support directly from the inbox. You can also send letters to multiple recipients at once, which is great for server announcements, group plans, or organizing co-op builds without spamming chat. There’s also a friend list to quickly select frequent recipients, which makes the system feel fast when you’re mailing the same teammates over and over.

For item shipping, Mail Delivery Addon includes package boxes that let players bundle multiple item stacks into a sealed package before sending. That’s super useful for trade drops, restocking someone’s base, or sending a “starter kit” to a new player without needing to meet up in person. On the admin side, the addon gives full control through an in-game settings UI accessed from the Guide Book. Admins can blacklist specific items from being mailed, review an audit log of send and receive activity, choose when outgoing mail is processed (immediately, hourly, at noon, or every X in-game days), and manage or reassign ownership of abandoned mailboxes. Mail Delivery Addon is basically a full server utility system that makes item sharing and communication feel clean, private, and built into the world.
