Raiyon's Elytra Armor Mod / Addon

Raiyon's Elytra Armor Addon a new, cooler armor with Elytra for flying. You land beside a pillager outpost, reach for your chestplate, and realize the crossbows are already pointed at you. Raiyon’s Elytra Armor lets you glide into danger with chest protection already equipped.

The addon combines an Elytra and a chestplate into a single piece of equipment often called a Colytra. You can fly while wearing it and still benefit from the armor value of the chestplate used to make it. That means fewer frantic inventory swaps when a peaceful flight turns into a fight. Choose your chestplate based on the protection you want: a stronger chestplate gives the combined item its corresponding armor value. Netherite retains its armor toughness and knockback resistance, too, making it an appealing choice if you’ve already invested in top-tier gear. You still need to get your hands on an Elytra and the chestplate, so making the combination remains a goal to work toward in survival.



The advantage is easy to appreciate when you’re traveling through unfamiliar territory. You might glide down to investigate a ruined portal, spot a village on the horizon, or land to collect supplies before continuing your journey. If hostile mobs show up, your chest slot is already providing protection while you deal with them. The same goes for exploring with friends: fly together to a distant build, land for a fight, and take off again without everyone pausing to dig through their inventory. An armored Elytra doesn’t make you invincible, of course. Your other armor pieces, food, and weapons still matter when an encounter gets messy, and a rough landing can be a problem regardless of what’s on your back.

Keep an eye on durability before setting out on a long trip. A broken Colytra stops providing armor, and you can repair it with Phantom Membranes or ingots. That makes a quick equipment check worthwhile before you launch yourself off a mountain or head out toward a distant base. Pack some repair materials if you’re planning to be away for a while, and give yourself a safe place to land if your gear is running low. There’s also a crafting detail to consider: enchantments and armor trims on the chestplate used for a Colytra aren’t transferred to the combined item. Enchantments can be added afterward, but trims can’t currently be applied. If you have a favorite decorated chestplate, check it before using it in the recipe.

Raiyon’s Elytra Armor is a useful late-game upgrade for anyone who loves flying but doesn’t want to feel exposed every time they touch down. It also gives builders and explorers a convenient way to move between distant projects while staying ready for whatever is waiting on the ground. Suit up, stock your rockets, and take the scenic route home.

Installation Mod:
- Download the .mcaddon / .mcpack;
- Open the file to import into the game;
- In World Settings → Resource Packs and Behavior Packs, enable it (turn on Experiments if needed);
