Environmental Effects Addon

Mods / Addons / Mods 1.26

The Environmental Effects Mod completely revamps your survival experience by turning Minecraft's biomes into actual, living threats you have to prepare for. If you think vanilla survival has gotten way too easy, this addon forces you to actually care about the weather before you leave your base.

Standard Minecraft lets you stroll through a scorching desert or a freezing tundra like it’s a walk in the park. This Minecraft realism mod changes all of that by introducing brutal, biome-specific mechanics. Head over to a snowy biome, and the biting frost will slowly sap your movement speed, making you a sitting duck for stray skeletons if you stay out in the open for too long.

Every single environment now has its own distinct debuff, turning basic exploration into a genuine tactical challenge. You can't just sprint blindly across the map anymore; you actually have to plan your gear and resources around where you're traveling. It adds a much-needed layer of depth that makes the game feel way more like a hardcore survival simulator.

Installation Mod:
- Download the .mcaddon / .mcpack;
- Open the file to import into the game;
- In World Settings → Resource Packs and Behavior Packs, enable it (turn on Experiments if needed);
- Have fun!
