The Your Friend Verity Addon gives you a terrifyingly helpful new companion that fights by your side, but completely turns on you the second you look away. It is the ultimate high-risk, high-reward pet for players who want extra muscle in the caves but don't mind a little psychological horror.
Exploring dark caves in vanilla Bedrock is usually just a mindless grind for deepslate, but this Minecraft Bedrock horror addon injects some serious tension into your mining trips. Down in the dark, you will randomly stumble across Verity—a creepy, perma-smiling entity just waiting in the shadows. He isn't instantly hostile, though. You can actually tame him using standard valuables from your inventory like iron, gold, copper, emeralds, or diamonds. Once you pay him off, he links up with you and acts as a ruthless bodyguard, tearing through zombies and skeletons while you mine.
Let's keep it a buck, standard Minecraft Bedrock followers are totally washed. You tame a dog with some skeleton bones, and it spends the rest of the game accidentally jumping into lava or getting two-tapped by a random Creeper. The Your Friend Verity pack absolutely disrespects that chill vibe. When you load this onto your server, you aren't just getting a cute mascot to sit in the corner of your dirt house. You are recruiting a highly volatile, massively lethal entity designed to absolutely shred hostile mobs. Verity is an absolute tank on the battlefield, easily clearing out massive zombie swarms and totally securing your perimeter. But here is the massive, sweaty catch that makes this addon an absolute masterclass in tension: Verity hates being ignored. As long as you maintain direct visual contact, he acts like the ultimate bodyguard. The literal microsecond you turn around to mine some diamonds or manage your inventory, the switch flips. He violently aggros onto you, turning your best friend into an apex predator directly behind you.
But here is where this MCPE companion mod gets incredibly stressful: Verity is barely keeping it together. As long as you keep him in your line of sight, he is your best friend. The absolute second you turn your back on him, that unsettling smile becomes a massive problem, and he will actively try to take you out. It completely changes how you navigate the game because you constantly have to strafe and walk backward just to keep your own pet from ending your survival run.
If you are bored with standard wolves and want a follower that keeps you totally paranoid, load up this pack and head underground. Just never stop looking at him.
Installation Mod:
- Download the .mcaddon / .mcpack;
- Open the file to import into the game;
- In World Settings → Resource Packs and Behavior Packs, enable it (turn on Experiments if needed);
