The Desert Mummies Addon revamps Minecraft’s quiet sand dunes by adding two relentless, sun-immune hostile mobs that hunt you down day and night. It turns every desert biome into a much-needed survival threat for adventurous players.

Deserts in vanilla Bedrock have always felt pretty barren once you loot a temple and grab some cactus. Sure, Husks roam around at night, but during the day, the open wastes are completely peaceful and safe. This behavior pack changes that dynamic entirely by introducing regular Mummies alongside their far more terrifying variants, the Ancient Mummies.



Let’s be honest: vanilla deserts are pretty much empty wastelands once you raid a single desert pyramid and scoop up some sand for glass. Husks are basically sluggish zombies that don't burn in daylight, and they rarely pose a real threat to anyone holding an iron sword. This dark fantasy mob pack completely fixes that desert drought. The moment twilight blankets the dunes, the sands begin to stir with custom-modeled mummies wrapped in tattered bandages, sporting sinister glowing eyes, custom death rattles, and aggressive pathfinding designed to swarm unwary explorers.

What really raises the stakes here isn't just their creepy look; it’s the lethal debuffs and varied combat tiers these creatures bring to the sandbox. Stepping into melee range with these embalmed terrors isn't a brainless trade—their melee strikes can inflict nasty curses like heavy slowness and wither-style rot that leave you coughing up hearts while desperately trying to retreat. Some variants charge at you with surprising speed, while ancient mummy commanders boast stacked health pools and heavy resistance, turning what should have been a quick sprint between desert villages into a desperate tactical retreat where your shield durability genuinely matters.

What makes these ancient undead so dangerous is that sunlight doesn't burn them at all. You can't just wait until morning to safely dig for sandstone or trek to a distant village. Standard Mummies will steadily stalk you across the dunes, but the Ancient Mummies are the real threat. They move ridiculously fast, tank a ton of damage, and hit like an absolute truck if you get caught without decent armor.

Trekking through sandy biomes suddenly requires real gear and constant vigilance. It brings a classic fantasy adventure vibe to an otherwise dull landscape without cluttering your game with unnecessary items.

Installation Mod:
- Download the .mcaddon / .mcpack;
- Open the file to import into the game;
- In World Settings → Resource Packs and Behavior Packs, enable it (turn on Experiments if needed);
