More Swords+ Addon – Big Blades, Big Swings
Ready to upgrade your vanilla sword game? More Swords+ drops eight chunky “Wide” swords into your survival grind. These aren’t your regular skinny blades—each one’s got a fat swing radius, extra durability, and they look straight-up brutal. Perfect for crowd control, PvP flexing, or just swinging through mobs like a wrecking ball.
The crafting’s super clean too—same layout for all of ‘em: 3 material blocks across the top row, then 2 sticks down the middle. You can craft ‘em with all the usual stuff like iron, diamond, or netherite. Big swords, big damage, and big drip. If you’re tired of tiny pokey sticks, this addon’s a must.
More Swords+ adds a collection of wide blades for players who want a different kind of weapon in Minecraft. These swords are larger than the ones you’re used to carrying, and their broad swings make them an interesting choice when several mobs are close together. There are eight wide swords to choose from, made using different materials, so you can work toward a weapon that suits the resources you have. They also offer extra durability, giving you a reason to take one along when you expect a longer fight.
The crafting pattern is easy to remember once you’ve made your first sword. Place three blocks of the chosen material across the top row of the crafting grid, then put two sticks down the middle to form the handle. You’ll need more material than you would for a regular sword, but the result is a much broader blade. The selection includes swords made with familiar resources such as iron and diamond, with a netherite option for players who have enough material to make one. Check the available recipes in-game and decide which weapon is worth making at your current stage of survival.
A wide sword can be particularly useful when a fight becomes crowded. It’s one thing to deal with a lone zombie near your base; it’s another to turn a corner in a cave and find several hostile mobs nearby. The broader swing gives you another way to handle those close encounters. You’ll still need to watch your health, carry food and avoid getting surrounded, but having a weapon suited to a group can make you feel better prepared. Try it against a few enemies first so you can get used to its reach and decide when you prefer it over your usual sword.
The different materials give you something to work toward as you explore. An iron wide sword might be a reasonable choice after your early mining trips, while a diamond blade can become a later project once you’ve gathered enough resources. Because the recipe uses blocks of material, making one is a decision worth thinking about rather than something you have to do immediately. You might want to finish your armor and tools first, then put extra resources toward a larger weapon. On a shared world, friends can choose different swords and take them along on an expedition to see which ones they enjoy using.
More Swords+ is also a good fit for players who simply like collecting weapons. The wide blades stand out in an inventory or equipment collection, and making each one gives you a use for different materials as your supplies grow. You can bring your favorite along for everyday survival and save another for trips where you expect more trouble. Set up a place to practice, get comfortable with the larger swing and see how it feels in a real encounter. Once you’ve found a blade you like, there’s always another material to gather and another sword to make.
