Copper Rod Tools Addon – Ditch the Stick, Forge with Copper
Time to upgrade those weak wooden handles. This addon lets you swap out boring sticks for sleek copper rods when crafting your tools. First, break down a copper ingot into nuggets—classic shapeless recipe, one ingot gets you nine nuggets. Then smash six nuggets together and boom—you got yourself a copper rod.
Now here’s the cool part: use that rod to craft full copper gear. Sword, axe, pickaxe, shovel, hoe—they all follow the regular crafting shape, just drop the rod in where a stick would normally go. These tools come with custom textures and can be repaired with vanilla copper ingots, so they look clean and fit right in with your survival grind. Real tools. Real flex.
Copper has a habit of piling up during a Minecraft mining trip. You bring it home with plans to use it eventually, put it in a chest, and then head back underground for something else. More Copper gives those ingots another job by adding a set of copper tools and weapons with their own textures and recipes. You can make a sword, pickaxe, axe, shovel, and hoe, as well as a wider copper sword with a recipe of its own. The equipment is useful for the ordinary things you already do in a survival world: mining, clearing ground, tending crops, and dealing with mobs on the way home. If you like making a matching set of tools, the warm copper color gives you another option to carry along on your adventures.
The crafting process starts with copper nuggets and rods. According to the map’s description, an ingot can be broken down into nine nuggets, and six nuggets can be used to make a copper rod. The rod then takes the place of a wooden stick in the addon’s tool recipes. The shapes will feel familiar if you’ve made Minecraft equipment before: copper ingots form the working part of the tool, while the rod becomes its handle. A pickaxe, for example, uses copper across the top of the crafting grid with the rod below it. You can also make a shovel or hoe when you’re preparing an area for a new build or farm. Check the recipes in your crafting menu as you go, especially for the Wide Copper Sword, which has its own recipe rather than following the ordinary sword’s design.
The two swords give you something to try when you want copper equipment for combat as well as work. Make the regular sword for a familiar companion on your travels, or gather the materials for the Wide Copper Sword and see how it feels in your hands. The addon describes the wider weapon as a powerful option, though it’s worth testing it for yourself before deciding which one to carry. You can also try the tools on the jobs you do most often. Bring the pickaxe on a mining trip, use the axe while collecting wood for a house, and keep the shovel nearby when you need to clear a patch of ground. Their custom textures help distinguish them from other equipment in your inventory, making a full set easy to recognize when you return to your storage room.
Copper ingots are useful after crafting, too: the addon’s tools can be repaired with them at an anvil. That gives you a way to maintain a favorite tool instead of immediately setting it aside when its durability gets low. More Copper is a good fit for a survival world where you want to experiment with another set of equipment and put some of your collected metal to use. It can also be fun in a shared world if everyone wants to try the new sword or make tools for a group project. To install the addon, open the downloaded file to import it into Minecraft, then activate it in your world settings. Once you’re ready, gather some copper, make a rod, and choose the first tool you’d like to craft.
