Quell the Chaos Map

Minigame Maps / PvP Maps

Quell the Chaos is a popular Minecraft minigame now available for you in Bedrock version. Quell the Chaos puts one player in charge of hunting down the rest of the group. Inspired, this Minecraft Bedrock minigame sends a team into the Chaos realm with a job to finish and a Chaos Lord determined to stop them.

The two sides have different goals. Players called Stoppers must enter a randomly generated realm and destroy its Chaos Hearts. The Chaos Lord has to kill all the Stoppers before they finish—and cannot be defeated while the hearts remain intact. That gives the team something more urgent to do than chase the strongest player around. You need to find those hearts, stay alive, and keep making progress even when the Chaos Lord is nearby.

Before the action starts, everyone gets a chance to prepare. You can choose who plays the Chaos Lord and who joins the Stoppers, or leave the roles to chance. The lobby also lets you adjust how many Chaos Hearts the team needs to destroy. After that, players visit their pre-game shops and spend experience points on equipment. The Chaos Lord has nine kits and nine items available, while the Stoppers have nine perks and nine items to choose from. Take a moment to look through the choices rather than buying the first thing you see. It’s worth talking with your teammates about what you’re bringing before entering the portal.

Losing a teammate doesn’t necessarily mean they’re out for good. Stoppers can help dead players return, with a short parkour minigame involved in respawning. That creates some tense decisions for the surviving team. Do you keep working toward the remaining hearts, or try to get another player back into the match? One extra teammate could make a difference, but you still have the Chaos Lord to worry about. If you’re playing with friends, expect a few urgent requests for help—and probably some complaints when somebody misses a jump at exactly the wrong moment.

The recommended group size is four to six players, making this a good option for a night when several friends are online. Try taking turns as the Chaos Lord so everyone gets to experience both sides. Hunting the team asks you to think differently from playing as a Stopper, and seeing how your friends approach each role could give you ideas for the next match. You can also experiment with the number of hearts and your shop choices as you learn. Get your group together, decide who’s doing the hunting, and make sure the Stoppers have a plan before heading through that portal.
