Survive the Box: One Chunk World Map
Having an endless world in Minecraft is great, but it means you can always just walk away to find more resources. When you have infinite space, survival eventually stops being a challenge. The One Chunk World map forces you to play differently by locking the entire game inside a single 16x16 border.
Even though you are stuck in a tiny area, you can still beat the game. The map packs a full survival progression into one Overworld chunk and one Nether chunk. All the necessary structures are stacked vertically. You will dig down to find a Stronghold with an End Portal and use a custom Blaze Spawner to get your rods. The loot tables and resource generation give you just enough materials to reach the End.
Playing in a 16x16 box means you can't waste anything. You have to build your base vertically, manage your dirt blocks carefully, and rely heavily on renewable resources. It is a solid solo playthrough to test your game knowledge, but it also works really well in multiplayer. Throwing a few friends into the same tiny space makes survival much harder since you have to share whatever little food and gear you manage to scrape together.
Stop running thousands of blocks for loot, build straight up, and beat the dragon from your spawn chunk.
