New Maces Overhaul Mod is built for players who love impact-style combat—jump in, slam down, and make the hit feel like an event. Every mace uses the Smash mechanic, meaning damage, knockback, and the weapon’s special abilities scale dynamically based on your fall height. So it’s not just “swing weapon, do damage” anymore; the way you move and position yourself becomes part of the attack, especially if you’re fighting around cliffs, towers, caves with drops, or any build where you can create height on purpose.
The arsenal is stacked with five different vibes. Thunder Mace drops delayed lightning bolts that strike the ground around your target, which makes big hits feel like you called in a storm right on the fight. Blaze Mace focuses on fire, scaling the burn duration and adding explosive fiery blasts when you smash in. Demon Mace is the dark option, inflicting Wither II and coughing out dense dark-gray smoke, so it looks nasty and plays nasty when you’re trying to melt tougher enemies down. Diamond Mace flips into defense: it grants you Resistance and Absorption based on how hard you impact, which is perfect when you’re diving into danger and need to survive the clap-back. Rascal Mace is the “speed bully” choice, hitting enemies with heavy Slowness while giving you Speed II, so you can steal the momentum and keep the fight on your terms.
What makes New Maces Overhaul Mod feel different from vanilla-style effects is that abilities are always on. The unique effects trigger on every hit, but their potency and duration scale massively with your fall distance, so the same weapon can feel “normal” on flat ground and completely cracked when you land a clean drop. Pair that with impact physics—area-of-effect knockback that pushes nearby enemies away from the impact site—and crowd fights start feeling more controllable if you time your slams right. Practical tip: don’t treat every fight like a drop-attack. If you’re in tight tunnels or small rooms, big knockback and AOE can scatter targets and make cleanup messy, so save the huge Smash hits for open areas where you can capitalize on the space.
The addon also leans into flex culture with the Mace Records System. You craft the Mace Records Book using 1 Book and 1 Gold Ingot, then open a custom UI menu to track the highest “Power Intensity” ever hit in your world. It doesn’t just show a number either—it logs the player name, exact damage, fall height, and even the target type for the world-record hit. And if someone breaks a record, it triggers a global server-wide celebration message, which is perfect for servers where everybody’s always trying to one-up each other. New Maces Overhaul Mod basically turns combat into a highlight reel, especially in Minecraft Bedrock worlds where building height and smart movement can set up ridiculous legendary impacts.
