Hat Fun Mod / Addon

Mods / Addons / Mods 1.21

Hat Fun Mod is for players who want more style than plain armor, but still want it to feel earned instead of just grabbing cosmetics from a menu. The whole hook is that hats aren’t “free drip.” You’re supposed to go on an adventure, dig through loot, collect parts, and build your own hat so you can flex it in survival like you actually worked for it. It’s cosmetics with a little quest vibe, which makes it perfect for long-term worlds where you want extra goals besides “mine more diamonds.”

The mod introduces the Converter Table, which is basically your hat workshop. It has its own interface with three slots, plus an extra slot that ties into the rune system. That rune slot is where the exploration pressure kicks in. Runes are found in chests across a bunch of structures, including Nether fortresses, igloos, snowy villages, taiga villages, mansions, pillager outposts, and more. So instead of camping at your base crafting everything instantly, Hat Fun Mod pushes you to actually travel, loot, and take risks—especially if you’re trying to collect runes consistently. Practical tip: don’t go structure-hunting unprepared. Bring enough food, blocks, and backup gear so you can get in, loot, and get out without losing your haul, because the whole hat pipeline depends on you coming home with those rune finds.

For base people, the Dummy is a really fun touch. It’s basically a redesign of the armor stand—same components and purpose—but styled as a lonely little doll that “likes armor.” Functionally, it helps you store and show off armor in a cleaner way, which is perfect if you’re building a bedroom, an armory, or a shop area where you want your gear on display instead of shoved in chests.

Hat crafting also gets help from “Crafting Plus,” which exists to make creating hats easier, even if the creator admits the ingredients aren’t always the most logical. The payoff is the hats themselves: they take the head slot, protect you like a diamond helmet, and you can enchant them. That’s huge because it means you’re not sacrificing survival safety just to look good—you’re basically replacing your helmet with something that has personality.

Hat Fun Mod includes several hat types with new sprites and model changes: red and brown mushroom hats, crimson and warped fungus hats, a beanie hat with 16 colors, and a pine cone hat. If you want a world where exploration has a “collect cool stuff to wear” loop and your character doesn’t have to look like everyone else in standard armor, Hat Fun Mod nails that vibe while still keeping it survival-friendly.
