The Companions Mod / Addon

The Companions Mod is built around one simple idea: adventuring feels better when you’re not doing it solo. Instead of giving you another combat pet that steals your kills, this addon starts you off with Conelli, a support-style companion that’s all about keeping you alive and making long survival days feel less stressful. She doesn’t attack, so the vibe stays focused on defense, healing, and sticking with you through the grind.
Finding her is part of the fun. Conelli only appears inside her own little house structure, and that structure generates only in birch forests. When you spot it, it’s basically a jackpot stop: you can grab carrots and golden carrots, check out the themed decoration, and you can also find the Carrot Hammer in there, which is an exclusive addon weapon. It’s a clean way to push exploration without forcing you into weird progression—just head out, hunt birch forests, and eventually you’ll stumble into her place.
Taming is strict but simple: Conelli can only be tamed with a Golden Carrot. Once she’s yours, she comes with 25 hearts of health and will follow you on your adventures. The big gameplay moment is the healing—she automatically heals you when your health gets low, which is huge when you’re deep in caves, sprinting across terrain, or dealing with surprise damage that would normally make you panic-eat. She’s also smart about staying alive: she runs away from monsters to avoid getting wrecked, and you can heal her using Golden Carrots. If you’re building or just want her parked somewhere safe, you can make her sit so she stays put.
If you want to turn her into a serious survival safety net, you can permanently upgrade Conelli using Ambrosia. The enhanced version bumps her stats hard: 50 hearts, increased speed, higher resistance, and way more efficient healing for the player. That’s the kind of upgrade you’ll appreciate when you’re heading into dangerous areas or you know you’re about to be in a messy situation where you can’t afford to slip up. A practical tip here: upgrade her before you start taking on high-risk trips, because the whole point is to have that extra cushion before things go wrong, not after.
Ambrosia is made in the Brewing Stand using 1 Mundane Potion plus 1 Enchanted Apple to get Ambrosia, and that item is what permanently enhances Conelli. And yeah, that’s a serious ingredient, so it feels like a real commitment upgrade, not some cheap instant power-up.
The Carrot Hammer is the other standout reward. You can only find it inside Conelli’s House, it hits for 5 hearts of damage, has a 50% chance to immobilize enemies for 1 second, and it’s compatible with sword enchantments. The freeze effect sounds small, but in real fights it can buy you just enough space to reset, heal, or reposition without getting chain-hit. The Companions Mod starts small with one companion, but the whole concept is clearly set up to grow over time—new companions, new mechanics, and more reasons to explore with a partner instead of running the world alone.
