GUN + Mod keeps the whole idea simple and survival-focused: if you want to use the guns, you need to earn them by crafting. The add-on is built around military-based gun variants, but the gate is your resources, not some instant free kit, so it fits naturally into a world where progression matters.
The backbone material for every gun is iron ingots, which instantly changes how your early and mid-game feels. You’ll care way more about reliable iron runs, smelting time, and keeping a steady stash instead of burning ingots on random side projects. A good habit is to smelt iron in batches and keep a dedicated chest for it, because once you start crafting in GUN + Mod, iron goes fast and you don’t want your whole session turning into constant back-and-forth mining.
The rest of the ingredients are found right in the crafting table, so you’re not hunting down some weird hidden system. That makes crafting feel straightforward: gather what you need, open the table, and build your loadout as you go. It also means you can plan your crafting around your normal survival routines—mine, smelt, craft—without stopping to learn a complicated setup.
Some guns also require dye or leather, which is a nice survival twist because it pushes you to branch out beyond mining. If you’re trying to progress smoothly, don’t ignore those materials—keep leather and dye available so you’re not stuck with iron ready but missing the last piece. GUN + Mod works best when you treat crafting like your “weapon progression path,” so the guns feel earned and your Minecraft Bedrock world still feels like survival instead of instant power.
