Geode+ Mod / Addon

Mods 1.26 / Mods 1.21

Geode+ Addon is a new craft for creating amethyst blocks in Minecraft. Get more features and innovations. An amethyst geode is a lovely thing to stumble across underground, but Geode+ gives the idea a more practical use. The add-on lets you create budding blocks associated with different Minecraft resources and grow clusters on them over time. Coal, iron, gold, copper, diamonds, and other materials get their own crystal-growing possibilities. Once a cluster has grown, you can break it to collect matching shards, then smelt those shards to obtain the corresponding resource. A coal shard, for example, can be turned into coal. It gives you a reason to make room for a crystal farm near your base, where you can check on your growing clusters between mining trips or building sessions. There’s still work involved in setting everything up, but watching a collection of crystals gradually turn into useful supplies is a satisfying change of pace.

The process starts with a budding block for the material you want to produce. Place it somewhere with room for clusters to grow, then give it time. When the crystals are ready, break the clusters and collect the shards they drop. Those shards aren’t simply finished ingots or gems: they need to be processed to get the resource. You can use a furnace, blast furnace, or campfire for that step. It’s worth planning a little space for both growing and smelting, especially if you want to work with more than one type of crystal. A small room with a few budding blocks might be enough at first. Later, you could expand it into a workshop, with separate areas for the materials you use most often and storage for shards waiting to be processed.

Different clusters give you a way to focus on the supplies you actually need. If you’re planning a large build that uses plenty of iron, you might make space for iron-related crystals. If you regularly run short on coal for smelting, a coal setup could be useful alongside your furnaces. Gold, copper, emerald, redstone, quartz, and diamond are among the other resources represented by the add-on. The file linked on the page also includes an Echo Shard geode. When harvesting, consider the tool you use: a pickaxe gives more shards than breaking a cluster by hand, and Fortune can increase the yield. That makes an enchanted pickaxe worth bringing along when it’s time to collect a larger batch. You don’t have to harvest every cluster the moment you see it, either; checking the room can become part of your usual routine whenever you return home.

Geode+ can make a resource room feel quite different from a row of plain chests and furnaces. You could build your growing area into an underground workshop, place it beside an existing amethyst-themed room, or give the crystals a dedicated building above ground. The clusters have a practical purpose, but arranging the different budding blocks is also an enjoyable project in its own right. To get started, download the add-on file, open it with Minecraft, and enable the resource and behavior packs in your world settings. Check the available recipes in game, choose a material you want to grow, and set up your first budding block. After that, let the crystals develop while you get on with the rest of your world. On your next visit, you may have a fresh batch of shards ready for the furnace.
