Mass Destruction: Hammers + Excavators + Scythes Mod
Let’s be brutally honest. Strip mining with a standard vanilla pickaxe or manually leveling a massive dirt mountain block-by-block is the most tedious, wrist-breaking grind in the entire game. If you actually want to build massive mega-bases without spending hundreds of hours just prepping the terrain, you absolutely need to craft the Hammers, Excavators, and Scythes mod.
This incredibly vanilla-friendly expansion completely overhauls your late-game tool progression. Instead of clicking single blocks, you are equipped with heavy-duty gear that breaks everything in massive 3x3 areas. The Hammers act as giant pickaxes, allowing you to instantly carve out massive underground perimeters or blast through deepslate tunnels in seconds. The Excavators effortlessly chew through dirt and gravel. But the absolute best tool is the Scythe. Not only does it instantly clear out annoying tall grass in a 3x3 radius, but it also harvests and automatically replants your entire massive wheat or potato field in one swing. It completely removes the worst parts of the survival grind while keeping the vanilla progression perfectly balanced.
Since you are now armed with the ultimate terraforming loadout, using this on a tiny wooden starter base is a massive waste of potential. You absolutely need to pair these tools with a hardcore Industrial Factory Addon or a massive Steampunk City map. You can use your Hammers to rapidly carve out gigantic underground facilities to house massive machines and auto-crafters. It is also an absolute necessity if you are playing on a massive Skygen or Prison Mine server, allowing you to instantly vacuum up thousands of blocks a minute.
Stop breaking your mouse clicking on single blocks, upgrade to the heavy machinery, and start reshaping your world!
