Realistic Forestry: Timber Tales Addon
Floating trees in Minecraft are the worst. We've all seen those random blocks left hanging in the air because someone didn't feel like building up to reach the top log. Timber Tales adds a dynamic tree system to Bedrock that actually fixes this, but it does it way better than the old instant-chop mods.
When you start hitting a tree with an axe, the block doesn't just break normally. You can actually see the cuts getting deeper into the wood with every swing. There is a visual progress indicator and cracks that show exactly when the trunk is about to snap.
The payoff is what makes this so good for a survival world. Once you land the final hit, the entire tree physically tips over. It has a full falling animation and even kicks up impact dust when it smashes into the terrain.
If you are running a realm, you don't have to worry about performance either. The falling mechanics are optimized for multiplayer, so someone clear-cutting a massive spruce forest isn't going to crash the server. It just makes gathering wood feel incredibly satisfying.
Installation Mod:
- Download the .mcaddon / .mcpack;
- Open the file to import into the game;
- In World Settings → Resource Packs and Behavior Packs, enable it (turn on Experiments if needed);
- Have fun!
