MINECRAFT BUT EVERYHING HURTS Mod is the first release of a challenge setup where the world isn’t the main threat anymore, your own actions are. Stuff you usually do on autopilot now comes with penalties, so the “easy” parts of survival turn into the hard part. It’s the kind of addon that makes you slow down, think ahead, and laugh when your muscle memory betrays you.

The rules are brutal and simple: crouching deals 1 heart of damage, jumping deals 1 heart of damage, and breaking a block also hits you for 1 heart. On top of that, hunger drains 3x faster, so you can’t just wander around forever and ignore your food bar. It changes the vibe of mining and exploring a lot, because the normal loop of digging, hopping around ledges, and crouch-walking on cliffs suddenly becomes a constant health tax.

Building and crafting get extra mean. Placing a block summons a creeper behind you, which turns “quick patch” moments into instant panic if you’re not ready for it. Crafting gives you 10 seconds of blindness, so even making something basic can turn into you stumbling around and getting caught off guard. And if you run, you burn after 5 seconds, which basically punishes sprinting the way you’d normally use it to escape or travel fast.

To survive with MINECRAFT BUT EVERYHING HURTS Mod, you’ve got to play like a cautious planner instead of a speedrunner. Walk instead of running, and treat jumping like an emergency-only move, not your default movement. Do your crafting in a safe spot where being blinded won’t get you wrecked, and when you place blocks, expect the creeper and give yourself space to react instead of building in tight corners. Since hunger drains so fast, don’t start long trips unless you’re already set up to handle that pressure, because starving while everything you do costs hearts is a fast way to spiral.

Installation Mod:
- Download the .mcaddon / .mcpack;
- Open the file to import into the game;
- In World Settings → Resource Packs and Behavior Packs, enable it (turn on Experiments if needed);
- Have fun!
