Indexer Mod / Addon

Mods / Addons / Mods 1.21

Indexer Mod is for anyone who’s tired of the “which chest did I put that in?” problem and doesn’t want to build a giant Redstone sorter to fix it. The addon lets you organize chests effortlessly and locate items instantly by connecting containers through a pipe network that feeds into one central brain: the Indexer Controller, described as the system’s CPU. Every pipe in your network needs to connect back to that controller by at least one line, so the whole setup stays unified instead of becoming random disconnected storage spaghetti.

Once the controller is down, you lay pipes and attach containers like chests, barrels, or even furnaces. To link a container to a pipe, you use a Connector block, and it gives clear feedback: the top turns pink when it’s connected and black when it’s disconnected. That makes building the system feel way less frustrating because you can visually confirm what’s actually part of the network.

The mod’s gameplay loop revolves around two interfaces that make storage feel almost “modern.” The Block Indexer Dropbox is your input. It connects through pipes, and if you click it while holding an item, you can store any amount of that item into the connected chests and it will sort automatically. If you click it with an empty hand, it deposits your entire inventory, excluding armor slots, which is perfect after a long mining trip or a big build session when you just want everything out of your pockets fast.

The Block Indexer Manager is the output and the real flex. Clicking it opens a UI showing a complete list of all items stored across your connected containers. You can search items by name, or sort them by quantity or alphabetical order, which makes “I need one specific thing right now” feel instant instead of a five-minute chest-scrolling chore. There’s also detail handling for enchanted items: they only stack if the enchantments are exactly the same, otherwise they’re listed separately. And you can hover over enchanted tools or books in the UI to inspect the full enchantment list, which is clutch when you’ve got multiple similar items and you’re trying to grab the right one.

One important limitation is chunk loading: the system can only access containers within loaded chunks. So in survival, you’ll want your main storage room in an area you’re actually around a lot, not split across far-away bases you rarely load. Practical tip: build your Indexer Controller and Manager in your main base, then run pipes outward as you expand—storage rooms, smelter area, farms—so everything stays one network and your loot always feels “one click away” with Indexer Mod in Minecraft Bedrock.
