Better Cats! – Addon / Texture Pack

Mods 1.26 / Mods 1.21 / Mods 1.20 / Mods 1.19

Better Cats! Mod is the kind of visual animal add-on that instantly makes your world feel more alive without changing your whole survival setup. Instead of seeing the same few cat looks over and over, you get remodeled cats that better match their breeds, plus a huge amount of variation through randomized traits. It also includes the ocelot, so the upgrade is not limited to house cats only.

The biggest thing here is variety. The add-on lists over 130 new variations and 69,000 trait combinations of cats, which means the cats you run into can look noticeably different even if they are based on the same general type. The pack adds randomized details like hair length, tail length, whiskers, snout shape, and different eye shapes and colors, including heterochromia mixes. In actual gameplay, that makes exploring villages, bases, or any cat-heavy area way more fun because you are always spotting a new combination instead of feeling like you have already seen everything.

Better Cats! Mod also remaps the look of several cat types into breed-inspired versions, like Black as a solid color style, Jellie as an Exotic Shorthair, Tuxedo as a bi-colour look, White as a Sphinx, and British Shorthair tied to Scottish Fold mixes. That gives the cats a stronger identity while still keeping the whole thing readable in Minecraft Bedrock. It feels like a visual refresh made by someone who actually wanted cats to look more distinct, not just recolored.

A really nice practical touch is the subpack setup. If you want the remodeled cats and ocelots but still prefer the standard variant pool, you can use Vanilla Spawning. If you want the full chaos and variety, Random Spawning includes all 130 cat and ocelot variants. Better Cats! Mod works great for survival bases, city builds, and roleplay worlds because it adds personality to everyday moments without needing you to learn a bunch of new mechanics.
