Better Cats! Addon 140 variants of new cats for Minecraft. Also get 70000 different variants of cats. Better Cats gives Minecraft Bedrock’s cats more detailed models and a much wider range of appearances. With over 130 variants and around 69,000 possible trait combinations, there’s plenty to notice when you stop for a closer look.
The makeover goes beyond changing fur colors. Cats can have short coats, fluffy coats, or no fur, alongside normal tails or shorter bobtails. Whiskers come in short, medium, and long versions, and the face can have a standard snout or a shorter nose. Those details give the animals different profiles, making their shapes part of the variety. A fluffy cat with a bobtail has a different look from a short-haired one with a full-length tail, even before you consider its coloring. The combinations are the reason the total gets so large: individual features work together to produce many possible appearances across the collection.
Eyes add another layer of variation. Narrow, round, and almond shapes change the expression of the face, while colors include green, yellow, orange, brown, blue, teal, and gray. There are also heterochromia combinations, giving some cats differently colored eyes. These are small details, but they’re the kind you notice when a pet is sitting nearby while you work around the house. If you enjoy choosing a cat because of its appearance, there’s more to compare than the coat alone. You might prefer a particular eye shape, a shorter muzzle, or an unusual pairing of colors. Looking closely becomes part of finding a favorite.
Several familiar cat appearances receive models inspired by particular breeds. British Shorthair variants include Scottish Fold mixes, Jellie cats take on an Exotic Shorthair look, and white cats receive a hairless Sphynx-style treatment. Black cats represent solid-color looks, while tuxedo cats use bicolor designs. Ocelots are included in the visual update too, extending the pack beyond domestic cats. For a world where animals are part of the scenery, that gives the makeover a broader presence. You could enjoy it in a busy village or simply keep a few cats around a small survival home. Their additional details give you something to appreciate during ordinary moments between building and exploring.
Two subpack settings let you decide how much variety belongs in your world. Vanilla Spawning keeps the remodeled cats and ocelots within the familiar vanilla variants, while Random Spawning opens up the full collection of more than 130 appearances. That choice is useful if you like the new models but have a strong attachment to Minecraft’s existing cat designs. If discovering different looks is the main attraction, the broader option makes more sense. Either way, Better Cats fits naturally into a world where you already enjoy having pets around. A cat beside the storage chests or waiting near the front door becomes a little more interesting to look at whenever you return home.
