Useful Items Mod is the kind of Minecraft Bedrock addon that doesn’t try to change the whole game—it just gives you better info while you play, so you spend less time guessing and more time actually doing stuff. It adds 7 new items (all craftable with their own recipes) and also enhances the Compass, Clock, and Recovery Compass with extra functions. The best part is that it stays achievement-compatible and doesn’t require Experimental Features, so it’s built for normal survival worlds where you don’t want a bunch of risky settings.
In actual gameplay, this mod is all about “clean survival data.” The Advanced Compass shows the direction you’re facing and the exact angle in degrees, which is super nice when you’re lining up a long road, building a straight tunnel, or trying to keep your base expansions consistent. The Chunk Detector gives you your current chunk coordinates and boundaries, which is a big deal when you’re planning farms, chunk-aligned builds, or just trying to understand why something behaves weirdly in one area but not another.
The upgraded time and navigation tools are straight-up daily drivers. The Clock shows in-game time in a 24-hour format, so it’s easier to plan sleep cycles or time night runs without squinting at the sun. The enhanced Compass shows how far you are from your spawn point, and if you haven’t slept or your bed is missing, it switches to showing distance to default world spawn instead—so you’re never fully lost. The Recovery Compass also gets a big quality boost by showing the distance to your last death spot, and it’ll say “Unknown” if that death happened in another dimension than where you are now, which saves you from chasing a lie.
The other tools hit different survival pain points. The Coordinate Converter is perfect when you’re bouncing between the Nether and the Overworld and want your numbers to make sense without doing math in your head. The Entity Detector counts neutral/passive mobs, hostile mobs, players, and dropped items within a 25-block radius, which is awesome when your area feels laggy or you’re trying to figure out what’s around you before you push forward. The Moon Phase Detector shows the current moon phase and the slime spawn rate in swamps, so if you’re grinding slime, you’re not doing it blind. The Speedometer shows your movement speed (with a note that it can get less accurate if the game is lagging), which is handy for testing travel routes or just messing around with movement.
And if you don’t want to carry all that stuff, the Explorer Device combines 9 items into one, letting you choose which tool to activate when you use it. Useful Items Mod basically turns your off-hand into a survival HUD toolkit, without forcing experimental settings or messing with achievements.
Installation Mod:
- Download the .mcaddon / .mcpack;
- Open the file to import into the game;
